Bootup’s operations in Zambia marry patented modern extraction techniques with environmental stewardship, inclusive community development. Using zero chemicals—only gravity and water—we extract gold efficiently while rehabilitating the land for sustainable agriculture and ecosystem restoration.
With our technology we transform the tailings into fertile, nutrient-rich soil. We produce a nutrient-rich agricultural substrate derived from mining tailings, engineered to mirror the properties of Terra Preta, the ancient Amazonian soil known for its exceptional fertility and carbon retention. The substrate is finely milled to a particle size of 0.07 to 0.4 millimeters, optimized for both water retention and root penetration, creating ideal conditions for sustainable crop cultivation and soil regeneration.

The Opportunity
Founded in 2021, Bootup Africa operates in close collaboration with the Zambian government, regional partners, and local communities. Bootup currently maintains stakes in eight licensed gold concessions, all with confirmed reserves and significant upside potential. The operations utilize advanced gravity-based ball mill systems that are entirely chemical-free. Each processing line is designed to handle ten tons of ore per hour, operating ten hours a day, 300 days a year. This results in an annual throughput of over 30,000 tons per line. From this volume, each line produces approximately 300 kilograms of high-purity gold annually. With 10 production lines our flagship site alone is projected to yield more than 3,000 kilograms of gold per year, with estimated annual revenues exceeding $200 million. Confirmed reserves at the site total 750,000 ounces, representing a potential asset value of over $ 1 billion.
